Operating System Stability - EpiQuest®
users will appreciate the familiar look and feel of this state-of-the-art
program that is designed to perform equally well in Windows® 2000,
XP, and Tablet PCs in stand-alone or networked environments.
EpiQuest® supports HIPAA compliance and as a product is Section 508 compliant.
Multi-tiered
System Security - Entry into EpiQuest®
is password protected. The system administrator can easily assign
users to various security levels, which limit system access for
maintenance, data entry, access, processing and reporting privileges
according to departmental protocols.
Standard
and User Defined Data Dictionaries - EpiQuest®
provides extensive data dictionaries to ensure internal and external
data concordance over time. This allows for the easy pooling of
data across time and/or facilities without fear of analytical
flaws due to data inconsistencies. In addition, EpiQuest® gives
the user the ability to define or add to other data dictionaries,
thereby enabling the flexible adaptation of the database to local
conventions or for special studies.
Standard
and User Defined Report Formats - EpiQuest®
is shipped with a complete set of pre-programmed reports that
allow the user to readily produce accurate, timely reports. For
ease of comparison to national benchmark data, many of the standard
reports follow the NNIS data content and processing standards.
External benchmark comparisons, control statistics, relevant statistical
tests and graphics are available through the standard report series.
More advanced users can develop custom reports according to changing
needs, surveillance patterns, or special study circumstances.
Ad
hoc Query - EpiQuest®
provides the tools to perform extensive, problem specific data
base queries using its Report Builder, Form Builder and Equation
Editor utilities. These allow the user to tailor data retrieval
and processing requests whenever special needs arise.
Bioterrorism
Plan Support - EpiQuest®
supports the facility specific bioterrorism plan for data entry
of exposed or potentially exposed populations to real or potential
threats of Chemical, Biological, or Radiological Bioterrorism.
Entry into multiple healthcare facility sites can be tracked trended
and reported by reason for admission. Query and retrieve cases
by varied criteria: potential, confirmed, treated prophylactically,
treated definitively, and pending. Outcomes report by varied user
expandable criteria.
Data
Import and Export - EpiQuest®
is shipped with a data import and export utility that allows current
users to easily transfer (ASCII) text file data directly into
EpiQuest® reducing
clerical time and facilitating the preparation of reports and
graphics.
Study
Assignment - EpiQuest®
allows easy study setups from design, collection of data, associations
of infections to studies and user access control specific to the
designed studies.
Antibiotic
Resistant Organism and Antibiotic Utilization - Alert
organism automated reports, identification of resistant organism
clusters and patterns, antibiotic pre-operative prophylaxis, procedure
specific antibiotic use pre and post operatively, specific drug
(antibiotic) usage are features within EpiQuest®.
Outbreak
Management - Automated report functions aid in early identification
of surveillance data. Respond quickly to changing world and local events in
the management of any infectious threat. Import the potential, to be
investigated, and confirmed cases. Stratify General Categories with the
specifics such as Probable, Suspect, or undetermined as in SARS.
Community acquired versus healthcare associated is just one of
the included functions within EpiQuest®.
